What food safety topics does NFSTP cover?
Based on the content of the Canadian Restaurant
and Food Service Association’s (CRFA) Food Safety Code of Practice, NFSTP is a comprehensive review of food safety issues and safe
food handling practices, including:
· Food Safety Hazards (Parts I and II)
· Facilities and Equipment Design
· Control of Hazards Following the Flow of Food (HACCP)
· Sanitation and
· Employee and Visitor Issues

How long does it take to complete NFSTP training?
Consisting of six teaching modules, NFSTP is
designed to include eight hours of classroom instruction, plus a Pre-Session workbook sent out for completion prior to the training
day. Participants must complete the Pre-Session workbook and thoroughly study the Food Safety Code of Practice before attending the
NFSTP training session. Classroom instructional time can also be tailored to suit the needs of your organization.

What Does the Certification Include?
The certification
includes a copy of the Pre-Session Workbook, CRFA’s Food Safety Code of Practice, administration of the NFSTP exam, as well as a 5
year certification wallet card for participants who successfully complete the course and receive a passing mark (70% or greater) on
the required exam.
